New Rhythm

Hello, it’s been a long time since the last post in the meta-section of the blog, so it’s time for a new one and also for explaining news about Polymers Audio Articles. The last few months have been chill, sharing podcasts every week as usual, but we chase more ambitious objectives, primarily with more interaction in social media creating community. There was also a personal milestone we wanted to achieve and we think it’s time to share it.

In Polymers Audio Articles we pursue a continuous growth way. It is important to accomplish numbers of views, followers and those kinds of things that will rebound positively on the feedback we receive, but the mindset is to climb the mountain step by step, knowing there is no pick to crown, just a road to enjoy learning and avoiding obstacles. This is a very general explanation, but we also have concrete goals, for example, we thought since the beginning to concede ourselves the first year to just upload episodes and expand the content as much as possible, creating community but without looking at the numbers. We started with the project one year ago, in october 2020 we shared our first podcasts setting the first brick, deciding to create a bench of podcasts that could be reviewed as many times as wanted. Science is updating faster nowadays than ever, with new discoveries every year, which doesn’t mean that previous literature has become completely outdated. In our own experience and presumably yours, in Science it is necessary to check papers constantly: some aspects evolve, but some others remain for decades. Sumarinsing, we have already created an amount of podcasts that are possible to review when necessary. This will modify how we work in two ways. The first one is the frequency we share audio articles; we have been doing it weekly, but at this point it is pointless to just keep feeding the community with only podcasts, so we will reduce the timing to fifteenly, two episodes a month instead of four. But this will make the second change happen. We have been showing a low profile in social media, sharing just a humble tweet every time we upload an episode, but this is going to be different from now on. We wanted to be more active on Twitter looking for your feedback and recommending the researchers to take a look at specific episodes of our library. We think this is a logical change of procedure and hope it becomes a positive decision for the community.

We will use this last paragraph to thank all our followers for being there so far. We wanted to polish our project in order to make it better and more useful for all. Last but not least, we encourage you to share your ideas and opinions about any aspect of Polymers Audio Articles, which will help us to keep pushing.

See you around!
