27. The effect of temperature on persistence of SARS-CoV-2 on common surfaces

Image
Here we share a study on survival of SARS-CoV-2 in different surfaces with variables as temperature, time and relative humidity. Disclaimer, we decided to take out the Statistical Analysis section from Methods because it was completely nonsense to define a formula in a podcast, but you can take a look in the article. We hope you consider this new episode interesting and brings some light over this cloudy topic the global pandemic is. 26. 3D Hybrid Scaffolds Based on PEDOT:PSS/MWCNT Composites

Image
In this text the authors reach their experiments with 3D scaffolds of PEDOT:PSS by adding MWCNT which increase all the previous characteristics such as: pore size distributions, swelling capacity, electrical properties, functionalization capability and cytocompatibility. Take a listen to the podcasts, because it runs through all the basic analysis and properties this kind of biomaterials should have. 25. Nanostructured polymer films with metal-like thermal conductivity

Image
When this article came into our in-box we were surprised to find “polymer” and “thermal conductivity” together, but this is a characteristic that is coming in the already huge list of skills of the polymers. Nevertheless, this ability is raising its importance in the research field and here the authors share a way to control, study and understand the thermal-conducting behaviour of polyethylene modulating crystalline and amorphous ratios   and the morphology of the amorphous region which will be useful in further studies.
